Welcome to my official Legislative Website! I want to thank you for the deep honor of representing you in Olympia. I am humbled by the support I’ve received from so many of you, but also excited to work on your behalf, the patriotic citizens of the “Fighting Seventh.”

As I serve you in the state House, key to success will be hearing from you: my constituents. Hearing about the challenges our district faces, as well as possible solutions that come from you, is of paramount importance to our form of government. As you know, this is YOUR state government!

It is also important to get word back to you on important issues and potential bills that impact all our lives as well as generations to come. You need to know what Olympia is up to – both the good and the bad. Here you will be able to read my email updates, press releases, and newspaper columns, as well as view other media materials.

Please contact me with any concerns, suggestions, or questions you may have about state government. It is both a privilege and honor to serve you as we make the 7th Legislative District the best place in the state to live, work, and raise a family.

My Priorities

Our state and federal Constitutions are worth protecting, and the rights enshrined by them are under constant attack.

The Constitution is not just a document, it is a promise that sets clear limits on government and protects our freedoms. As a constitutional attorney, every policy question comes back to one standard: does it follow the law and respect the rights of the people? That perspective matters at a time when there is growing pressure to expand government authority and ignore long-standing legal boundaries. In the military, I took an oath to support and defend the Constitution. That oath continues today in my work in the Legislature, standing up for the rule of law and protecting the freedoms that define our way of life.

How Democrat legislators ignored our state constitution when passing their new state income tax.

We need to make sure our veterans have the services they need and access to the benefits they've earned.

Supporting our veterans is a responsibility that goes beyond words. It means making sure those who served have access to the benefits, services, and recognition they have earned. My commitment to this work is personal. After more than two decades of military service, I understand the challenges many veterans face when they return home. Whether it's strengthening the Veterans Affairs Advisory Committee or proposing a Global War on Terror Memorial on the Capitol Campus, I will continue to advocate for policies that support veterans and ensure their service is respected, remembered, and met with the care they deserve.

When The People want parental rights and safety in girls' sports, the Legislature should listen.

Parents have a fundamental right to be informed and involved in their children’s lives, especially when it comes to education, safety, and fairness. That includes knowing what is taught, ensuring safety in school settings, and preserving fair competition in girls’ sports. These issues go to the core of parental authority and equal protection. That is why so many Washingtonians exercised their constitutional right to bring forward two initiatives to the Legislature, one on parental rights and one on girls’ sports. Under our state constitution, those measures deserve full consideration. Instead, the majority chose not to hold public hearings or allow a vote, setting aside both the process and the voices behind it. Given the opportunity, I would have supported both.
