Rep. Hunter Abell wants to honor all Washingtonians who sacrificed their lives in the Global War on Terror.

Rep. Hunter Abell, R-Inchelium, has proposed legislation to establish a Global War on Terror (GWOT) Memorial on the Washington State Capitol Campus. Abell, who has served in the military for over 20 years, including deployments to Iraq and Guantanamo Bay, says House Bill 2514 is a long-overdue way to honor those Washingtonians who “gave their last full measure” in the Global War on Terror. He filmed this video in front of the Winged Memorial on the Capitol Campus, which honors those who died in WWI.
